The “Quitala" is a modern Floating Booster Station commissioned in 2007 that has been designed to work in conjunction with dredgers “Quissanga”, “Cazanga”, and “Miondo”, to increase pumping distances of dredged materials through pipelines up to a maximum distance of 4.5km. It can be connected into the dredger’s pipeline and operated remotely to greatly increase the pumping distances achieved, as may be required on a project-by-project basis.
