This division makes use of CAT D6 bulldozers, CAT 300 series excavators, CAT 700 series dump trucks and CAT 900 series payloaders for dredging and reclamation works.
DRAIMAR also operates a specialist plant for operating in tidal conditions which are too shallow for conventional dredging equipment and inaccessible by land based equipment. Amphibious excavators can be towed into shallow areas where they are used to create new navigation channels or to deepen existing marinas and quays.
Within the dredging and reclamation works, the plant is also used to construct protective bund walls to contain material as part of larger dredging projects. It is also used where there may be areas of natural vegetation or man made structures which need protection.
